These Terms of Service / End User License Agreement (“Terms”) govern your use of the “Bible Guide - Daily Wisdom” mobile application (the “App”), titled “Bible Guide” inside the app experience, the AI Guide Messaging Service (defined below), and all related services (collectively, the “Service”), provided by Vine Branch Labs Pty Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms apply to both iOS and Android versions of the App and to all external messaging channels through which the Service may operate.

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, or by linking your phone number or messaging account to the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.


1. Platform EULA Notes (Apple + Google)

iOS (Apple)

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) (“Apple Standard EULA”) also applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

These Terms are supplemental app-specific terms between you and Vine Branch Labs Pty Ltd. If there is a conflict for iOS use, the Apple Standard EULA will control for those license provisions.

Android (Google Play)

If you downloaded the App from Google Play, your use is also subject to applicable Google Play terms/policies. These Terms act as the EULA for your use of the App on Android.


2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and legally capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you represent and warrant that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will take steps to terminate their account and delete associated data. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@dailybibleguide.com.

The AI Guide Messaging Service (defined in Section 6) requires users to be at least 13 years of age. By linking a phone number or external messaging account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.


3. License to Use the App

Subject to these Terms and your compliance with them, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App for your personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control, and as permitted by the Apple App Store or Google Play rules (as applicable).

You may not:

  • copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from the App (except to the extent permitted by law)
  • distribute, sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the App
  • circumvent or disable security, access controls, or usage-limiting features
  • use the App in a way that violates applicable law or infringes others’ rights

4. Accounts (Including Guest Accounts)

The App uses Supabase Auth and supports:

  • anonymous/guest accounts, and
  • Apple/Google/Facebook sign-in (via Supabase)

You are responsible for activity under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your device and any authentication credentials associated with your account.


5. Subscriptions, Trials, Billing, and Refunds (iOS + Android)

The Service may offer weekly/monthly/yearly subscriptions and an optional free trial. Purchases are processed by the platform store you used to download the App.

A) Billing and auto-renewal

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID (iOS) or Google account (Android) at confirmation of purchase (or after a free trial, if offered).
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

B) Free trials (if offered)

If a free trial is offered:

  • you won’t be charged until the trial ends
  • if you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription converts to a paid subscription and will auto-renew
  • any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription

C) Manage Subscription (in-app link)

The App provides a “Manage Subscription” link in Settings that takes you to the relevant platform page.

D) Refunds

Refund eligibility and processing are handled according to the policies of the store where you purchased the subscription (Apple App Store or Google Play). You can also contact us at support@dailybibleguide.com for help troubleshooting subscription access issues.

6. AI Guide Messaging Service

6.1 Overview

The Service includes an optional AI Guide Messaging feature (the “Guide”) that allows you to receive and send messages through external messaging channels, including but not limited to Apple iMessage, SMS/RCS, and Telegram (each, a “Messaging Channel”). The Guide is an artificial intelligence system that communicates using a chosen persona (such as “Sarah” or “John”). The Guide is not a real person. All messages sent by the Guide are generated by artificial intelligence.

6.2 Linking Your Messaging Account

To use the Guide, you must link your phone number or external messaging account to your Bible Guide account through the App. By completing the linking process, you:

  • (a) confirm that you are the owner or authorized user of the phone number or messaging account you are linking;
  • (b) consent to receiving automated, AI-generated messages from the Service at that phone number or messaging account, as described in these Terms;
  • (c) acknowledge that standard messaging and data rates from your wireless carrier or internet provider may apply to messages you send and receive through the Guide, and that you are solely responsible for any such charges;
  • (d) acknowledge that the Guide is an AI system, not a human, and that all messages from the Guide are generated by artificial intelligence; and
  • (e) confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).

6.3 Consent to Automated Messages

By linking a Messaging Channel to the Service, you expressly consent to receiving automated messages from us at the phone number or messaging account you have linked. These messages may include:

  • proactive check-in messages initiated by the Guide based on your app activity and preferences;
  • responses to messages you send to the Guide;
  • welcome and onboarding messages when you first link your account;
  • system notices related to your Guide connection status; and
  • messages containing Scripture, devotional content, prayer prompts, and faith-based encouragement.

Message frequency varies based on your activity, preferences, and the cadence settings you configure. You may receive messages as frequently as once every few days or as infrequently as once every two weeks, depending on your engagement.

You acknowledge that your consent to receive automated messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service from us.

For users in the United States: This consent is provided in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. Section 227, and applicable Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations. You consent to receiving autodialed and/or automated text messages at the phone number you provide.

For users in Canada: This consent is provided in compliance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), S.C. 2010, c. 23. You consent to receiving electronic messages from the Service at the contact information you provide.

6.4 Opt-Out and Disconnection

You may stop receiving Guide messages at any time through any of the following methods:

  • (a) Reply keyword: Reply “STOP,” “UNSUBSCRIBE,” or “PAUSE” to any message from the Guide. This will deactivate your Guide connection for that Messaging Channel. You may reactivate at any time by replying “START” or “RESUME,” or by re-linking through the App.
  • (b) In-app settings: Navigate to Settings within the App and tap “Disconnect” for the applicable Messaging Channel.
  • (c) Contact support: Email support@dailybibleguide.com with your request.

Opting out of the Guide does not delete your Bible Guide account or cancel any active subscription. To delete your account, see Section 7. To cancel a subscription, see Section 5.

Following a request to opt out, you may receive one final confirmation message acknowledging your request. No further Guide messages will be sent to that Messaging Channel unless you re-link or reactivate.

6.5 Message Timing and Quiet Hours

You may configure preferred message timing and quiet hours through the App’s settings. The Guide will respect these preferences when scheduling outbound messages. We make reasonable efforts to deliver messages within your configured windows, but we do not guarantee exact delivery times.

6.6 Number Changes and Service Continuity

From time to time, the phone number from which the Guide sends messages may change due to technical or operational reasons. If this occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through a message from the new number and/or through a push notification or in-app notice. You may need to re-link your account to continue receiving messages. We are not liable for any interruption in Guide messaging due to number changes, carrier issues, or platform limitations.


7. Account Deletion (In-App + Web)

A) In-App deletion

You can initiate account deletion within the App (for example, via Settings → Account → Delete Account).

  • Deleting your account removes your account record and associated data from our systems, including Guide conversation history and linked Messaging Channel data, except where retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or accounting purposes.
  • We aim to complete deletion within 30 days.

B) Web deletion request

If you cannot access the App, you can request deletion via: https://bibleguidedaily.com/delete-account

Important: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel store subscriptions. You must cancel through Apple/Google (see Section 5). Deleting your account will automatically disconnect all linked Messaging Channels and stop all Guide messages.


8. Faith/Devotional Content, AI Limitations, and Disclaimers (Not Professional Advice)

8.1 General AI Disclaimer

The Service provides faith-oriented devotional content and interactive features, including the in-app chat and the AI Guide Messaging Service, that use artificial intelligence to generate responses.

You understand and agree:

  • All responses from the in-app chat and the AI Guide Messaging Service are generated by artificial intelligence, not by a human being, regardless of the name or persona used (such as “Sarah” or “John”).
  • AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, or not appropriate for your circumstances.
  • AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, or information commonly referred to as “hallucinations.”
  • You are solely responsible for evaluating the accuracy and appropriateness of any AI-generated content for your circumstances.
  • The Service may generate the same or similar content for other users.

8.2 Not Professional or Pastoral Advice

The Service, including the AI Guide Messaging Service, provides spiritual and devotional content for informational and inspirational purposes only. The Service is not a substitute for:

  • professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice, diagnosis, or treatment;
  • licensed counseling, therapy, or mental health services;
  • legal or financial advice from qualified professionals;
  • pastoral counseling, spiritual direction, or ministry from ordained or licensed clergy; or
  • any other form of professional advice or service.

The AI Guide is not a pastor, counselor, therapist, or minister. You should not rely on the Guide or the Service for decisions that require professional judgment. Always seek the advice of qualified professionals for medical, legal, financial, mental health, or other professional matters.

8.3 Crisis and Emergency Disclaimer

The Service is not an emergency service and is not designed to provide crisis intervention.

If you are in immediate danger, experiencing a medical emergency, or having thoughts of self-harm or suicide, please contact your local emergency services immediately (such as 911 in the United States, 000 in Australia, or 999 in the United Kingdom) or go to your nearest emergency room.

The AI Guide may detect language that suggests a user is in crisis and may provide information about crisis resources, such as helpline phone numbers and websites. You understand and agree:

  • Crisis resource information provided by the Guide is for informational purposes only and is provided on a best-effort basis.
  • The Guide is an AI system and is not capable of providing crisis counseling, intervention, or emergency assistance.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or appropriateness of any crisis resources provided.
  • We do not guarantee that the Guide will detect crisis language in every instance.
  • We are not liable for any actions taken or not taken by you, any crisis service, or any third party based on information provided by the Guide.
  • We may log messages that indicate a potential crisis for safety review purposes.

8.4 No Guarantee of Doctrinal Accuracy

The Service may reference Scripture, theological concepts, and faith-based content from various Christian traditions. We make reasonable efforts to align content with mainstream Christian teaching, but we do not guarantee the doctrinal accuracy of any AI-generated content. The Service does not represent or speak for any specific church, denomination, or religious authority. You are encouraged to verify any theological content with your own church, pastor, or trusted spiritual advisor.


9. Your Content and Data

9.1 User Content

“User Content” includes all content you submit, send, or generate through the Service, including but not limited to: chat prompts and messages sent within the App, messages sent to the Guide through any Messaging Channel, voice audio and transcripts, saved devotional content, and prayer requests.

You retain any rights you have in your User Content.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, process, reproduce, modify, and display your User Content solely to: (a) operate, maintain, and provide the Service, including generating AI responses; (b) improve the Service and develop new features; (c) analyze usage patterns and trends in aggregated or de-identified form; and (d) comply with applicable law.

You agree not to submit content you do not have the right to share or that violates law or others’ rights.

9.2 External Messaging Channel Data

When you use the AI Guide Messaging Service, we collect and store the following additional data:

  • your phone number or external messaging account identifier;
  • the content of messages you send to and receive from the Guide through Messaging Channels;
  • message timestamps, delivery status, and metadata;
  • your Messaging Channel preferences, including preferred timing and quiet hours; and
  • technical information related to message delivery.

This data is stored separately from your in-app chat history and is used solely to operate and improve the AI Guide Messaging Service. Your Guide conversation history is accessible to the AI system to provide contextual and personalized responses.

9.3 Data Usage for Service Improvement

We may use aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized data derived from your use of the Service (including the AI Guide Messaging Service) for research, analytics, product improvement, and development of new features. Such aggregated data will not identify you personally.


10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including the AI Guide Messaging Service. Prohibited conduct includes:

  • unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activity;
  • attempting to access others’ accounts or data;
  • interfering with the Service or bypassing usage limits;
  • uploading malware or harmful code;
  • harassing, threatening, hateful, or abusive behavior directed at the AI Guide or at other users;
  • sending spam, commercial solicitations, or bulk messages through the Guide;
  • attempting to manipulate, exploit, or circumvent the AI system’s safety measures or content guidelines;
  • impersonating any person or entity in communications with the Guide;
  • using the Guide to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others; and
  • linking a phone number or messaging account that you do not own or are not authorized to use.

We may restrict access, suspend, or terminate accounts for violations, with or without prior notice.


11. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party services, including but not limited to: Supabase, RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Sentry, AI model providers (such as xAI, Google, and others), push notification services, Expo, Upstash, Telegram Bot API, and messaging infrastructure services. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the operation, availability, or practices of third-party services outside our control.

The AI Guide Messaging Service is delivered through third-party messaging platforms (such as Apple iMessage, SMS/RCS carriers, and Telegram). We do not control these platforms and are not responsible for their availability, terms of service, privacy practices, message delivery, or any fees they may charge.


12. Text Messaging and Communications

12.1 Transactional Messages

By creating an account and providing contact information, you consent to receiving transactional communications from us, including account verification messages, security alerts, and service-related notices. These are not marketing messages and are necessary for the operation of the Service.

12.2 AI Guide Messages

By linking a Messaging Channel as described in Section 6, you consent to receiving automated AI-generated messages through that channel. See Section 6.3 for full details regarding consent and Section 6.4 for opt-out procedures.

12.3 Push Notifications

The App may send push notifications related to daily devotionals, reminders, account status, and Guide connection status. You may manage push notification preferences through your device settings.

12.4 Messaging Rates and Charges

Standard messaging and data rates from your wireless carrier or internet provider may apply to messages sent and received through the AI Guide Messaging Service. We are not responsible for any charges imposed by your carrier or provider. Check with your wireless provider for details about your messaging plan.


13. Intellectual Property

13.1 Our Intellectual Property

We (or our licensors) own and retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all software, algorithms, AI models and prompts, code, technology, designs, content, and intellectual property underlying or included in the Service, excluding your User Content. Use of any of our intellectual property for any purpose not expressly permitted by these Terms is strictly prohibited.

13.2 AI-Generated Output

Content generated by the AI Guide or the in-app chat features (“Output”) is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may use Output for personal purposes such as reflection, journaling, and sharing with your faith community. You may not:

  • represent that Output was created by a human being;
  • use Output to train or develop competing AI models or services;
  • commercially distribute or sell Output; or
  • use Output in a manner that violates applicable law or these Terms.

Due to the nature of AI, Output may not be unique and the Service may generate the same or similar content for other users.


14. Termination

By you

You may stop using the Service at any time. To stop subscription charges, you must cancel through your store account (see Section 5). To stop Guide messages, see Section 6.4. To delete your account, see Section 7.

By us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service (including the AI Guide Messaging Service) if you violate these Terms, create risk to us or to other users, or if required by law. We may also discontinue or modify the AI Guide Messaging Service or any Messaging Channel at any time, with or without notice.


15. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE (INCLUDING THE AI GUIDE MESSAGING SERVICE) IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (B) AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, RELIABLE, OR APPROPRIATE FOR YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES; (C) MESSAGES SENT THROUGH THE AI GUIDE MESSAGING SERVICE WILL BE DELIVERED SUCCESSFULLY OR WITHIN ANY PARTICULAR TIMEFRAME; (D) THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; OR (E) ANY DEFECTS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED.

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT, IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.


16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

(A) WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE (INCLUDING THE AI GUIDE MESSAGING SERVICE), EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

(B) OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (I) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM; OR (II) ONE HUNDRED AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS (AUD $100.00).

(C) WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, LOSSES, OR HARM ARISING FROM: (I) ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO INACCURATE, INCOMPLETE, OR INAPPROPRIATE SPIRITUAL OR DEVOTIONAL CONTENT; (II) ANY ACTIONS TAKEN OR NOT TAKEN BY YOU BASED ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT; (III) ANY FAILURE OF THE SERVICE TO DETECT CRISIS LANGUAGE OR TO PROVIDE APPROPRIATE CRISIS RESOURCES; (IV) ANY INTERRUPTION, DELAY, OR FAILURE IN THE DELIVERY OF GUIDE MESSAGES; (V) ANY CHARGES IMPOSED BY YOUR WIRELESS CARRIER OR INTERNET PROVIDER; (VI) ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR MESSAGING ACCOUNT OR PHONE NUMBER; OR (VII) ANY ACTIONS OF THIRD-PARTY MESSAGING PLATFORMS OR SERVICES.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY, SO SOME OF THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, OUR LIABILITY WILL BE LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.


17. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Vine Branch Labs Pty Ltd and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees and costs) arising from or related to:

  • (a) your User Content;
  • (b) your use of the Service, including the AI Guide Messaging Service;
  • (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law;
  • (d) your violation of any third-party right, including any privacy right or intellectual property right;
  • (e) any messages you send through the AI Guide Messaging Service; or
  • (f) any dispute between you and a third party arising from your use of the Service.

18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

18.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

18.2 Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved as follows:

  • (a) Informal resolution: Before initiating any formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at support@dailybibleguide.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for a period of at least 30 days.
  • (b) Jurisdiction: If informal resolution is unsuccessful, any dispute will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Victoria, Australia, unless consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.

18.3 Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on you by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any similar consumer protection law in your jurisdiction that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.


19. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information, including data collected through the AI Guide Messaging Service. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.


20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice through in-app notifications, email, or a message through the AI Guide Messaging Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.


21. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, will be severed from these Terms. The invalidity of any provision will not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.


22. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by us.


23. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms you agree to in connection with specific features of the Service, constitute the entire agreement between you and Vine Branch Labs Pty Ltd regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
