Privacy Policy
Bible Guide - Daily Wisdom (Bible Guide)
This Privacy Policy explains how Vine Branch Labs Pty Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the “Bible Guide - Daily Wisdom” mobile application (the “App”), titled “Bible Guide” inside the app experience, and related services (the “Service”). This policy applies to both iOS and Android versions of the App.
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. What This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy applies to information we process through the App and our backend services. It does not cover third-party services you may access through the App (for example, Apple, Google, Facebook, or AI providers), which are governed by their own policies.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three main ways: (a) information you provide, (b) information collected automatically, and (c) subscription, usage, and entitlement information.
A) Information you provide
Account and authentication (Supabase Auth)
- The Service supports anonymous/guest accounts and sign-in via Apple / Google / Facebook (via Supabase).
- Depending on your sign-in method and settings, we may receive identifiers and basic profile data (such as a stable user ID, and sometimes email address and/or name).
Profile and preferences
You may provide:
- guide, journey level, denomination, topics
- reminder time
- daily minutes goal
Some preferences (for example, denomination/topics) may reveal information about your religious beliefs. Providing these is optional; we use them to personalize your experience.
Personalized devotional content
Personalized devotional content and related saved content are stored in our backend (Supabase).
Chat content
We store your chat prompts and AI responses to provide chat history, continuity, and personalization.
Voice features
- If you use voice input, your audio may be sent for transcription (OpenAI transcription).
- Transcripts (and, where needed to provide the feature, audio) may be stored.
Audio/devotional playback
Audio/devotional playback files may be stored in storage services (for example, Supabase Storage).
Support communications
If you contact us at support@dailybibleguide.com, we receive the information you include.
B) Information collected automatically
Push notification tokens
- If you enable notifications, we collect and store device push tokens to send reminders and service messages.
- Notifications may be delivered through Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) and/or Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), and may be coordinated via Expo.
Diagnostics and error data (Sentry)
- We use Sentry for crash reporting, error logging, and breadcrumbs (small event records leading up to an error) to improve reliability and troubleshoot issues.
- Logs typically include technical metadata (app version, device/OS, timestamps). We aim to avoid collecting chat content in logs, but error context may sometimes include limited fragments if necessary to diagnose an issue.
Basic service logs
Our servers may log technical information (for example, IP address, request timestamps, and device/app metadata) to operate, secure, and debug the Service.
C) Subscription, usage, and entitlement information
Payments
- Subscriptions may be offered (weekly/monthly/yearly and optional free trial).
- Purchases are processed by the platform store: Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android).
- We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple or Google.
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and entitlements (for example, active plan, trial, renewal status) across platforms.
Usage counters / rate-limiting
- We track usage counters and plan entitlements on our backend to enforce limits and provide subscription features.
- We may use Upstash (Redis) to support rate-limiting, counters, and similar operational functionality.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate the Service (authenticate accounts, store preferences/content/chat/audio).
- Personalize devotional experiences based on your preferences and settings.
- Provide AI and voice features (generate responses; transcribe voice input).
- Send reminders and notifications based on your settings.
- Manage subscriptions and enforce limits based on entitlement and usage.
- Maintain reliability, security, and support (including troubleshooting via Sentry).
- Comply with legal obligations where required by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service, comply with law, or protect rights and safety.
A) Service providers / processors
We use third-party processors to provide the Service, including:
- Supabase (auth/database/storage/edge functions)
- RevenueCat (subscriptions/entitlements)
- Apple App Store (payments on iOS)
- Google Play Store (payments on Android)
- Sentry (crash/error logging + breadcrumbs)
- OpenAI (chat/embeddings/transcription)
- Google Gemini (chat/embeddings)

- Upstash (Redis) (rate-limiting/usage counters)
- Firebase/FCM + Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) (push delivery)
- Expo (app services such as notifications/build)
B) AI processing details
When you use chat or voice features:
- your prompt (and sometimes relevant recent context) may be sent to OpenAI, Google Gemini, and/or OpenRouter
- the provider returns output to our backend, and we deliver it to you
- prompts and outputs may be stored to provide the feature (including history and personalization)
We encourage you not to include sensitive personal information in prompts that you do not want processed by third-party AI providers.
C) Legal and safety
We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, respond to lawful requests, or protect users, the public, or our rights and safety.
D) Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes (including security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance).
Examples:
- Account data and stored content (preferences, devotional content, chat history, audio files): retained while your account is active and as needed for the Service.
- Push tokens: retained until you disable notifications, tokens expire, or you delete your account.
- Diagnostics/logs: retained for a limited period appropriate for troubleshooting and security.
- Subscription and entitlement records: retained as needed for access management, accounting, and compliance.
6. Account Deletion and Data Deletion
A) In-App Account Deletion
You can initiate deletion of your account within the App (for example, via Settings → Account → Delete Account).
When you delete your account:
- we will delete or de-identify information associated with your account from our systems, except where we must retain certain data for legal, security, fraud prevention, or accounting purposes
- we aim to complete deletion within 30 days and may complete it sooner
Important: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. You must manage/cancel subscriptions through your store account (see Section 9).
B) Web Deletion Request Option (for users who no longer have the app)
If you cannot access the App (for example, you deleted it), you can request account deletion via our web resource: https://dailybibleguide.com/delete-account.
If you need help, contact support@dailybibleguide.com.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing.
Common choices:
- Notifications: disable via device settings.
- Account deletion: initiate in-app (see Section 6).
- Access/correction requests: contact support@dailybibleguide.com.
We may need to verify your request before completing it.
9. Subscriptions and Payments
Subscriptions are sold via the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android). We use RevenueCat to help manage subscription entitlements. Apple’s and Google’s policies govern billing and refunds.
Manage subscriptions:
- iOS (Apple): https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions
- Android (Google Play): https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
10. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact support@dailybibleguide.com.
11. International Data Transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live, including where our processors operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date and may provide notice in-app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
